In this talk, artist and art historian Iftekhar Dadi journeyed through his art practice with selected visuals of his works and expounded on the question of modernism in connection to South Asian art, which has been explored in his book ‘Modernism and the Art of Muslim South Asia’. This book looks at modern artists in Pakistan and their art practice post partition. He also shed light upon his curatorial project ‘Lines of Control’- an exhibition on partition and borders.
