Kiran Nadar Museum of Art Welcomes you to “The Elemental You, curated by Akansha Rastogi with Avik Debdas, Swati Kumari, Chinmoy Deori, and Mahika Banerjee. I will be your companion throughout your museum journey today. A few things, before we embark on this journey: I am going to course you through the museum, giving details about the artists, some of their works, series and context to their practice. Feel free to wander, go at your own pace. By all means, feel free to pause me, and move on your own, and take my assistance whenever needed. The exhibition ‘ The Elemental You’ is divided into three main sections, First; to think like a mountain, Second: clearing, Third: survival as revival; With three artists in focus: Hajra Waheed, Simryn Gill, and Neha Choksi, the exhibition through their various series, talks about the relationship of humans and nature - thinking about the history of earth, the elements and natural resources that surround us, our personal, and civilizational relationship with the sun, sky, water, land, and prompt us to learn how to think, live, and love from nature. Working with photography, video, sculptures, and drawings, these various works talk about nature, politics, and invite us to rethink the way we perceive our place in the world.

किरण नाडर म्यूजियम ऑफ़ आर्ट की प्रदर्शनी “द एलिमेंटल यू” में आपका स्वागत है, जिसे आकांशा रस्तोगी ने अविक देबदास, स्वाति कुमारी, चिन्मॉय देओरी और महिका बनर्जी सहित क्यूरेट किया है। मैं इस प्रदर्शनी में आपका सहायक, और हमसफ़र रहूँगा। इस खूबसूरत सफ़र पर निकलने से पहले कुछ छोटी बातें। मैं आपको म्यूजियम के अंदर लगे कामों, और कलाकारों के बारे में जानकारी दूँगा। आप किसी भी पल, मुझे रोक कर म्यूजियम में ख़ुद, अपनी रुचि और मर्जी के अनुसार घूम सकते हैं, और जब भी मेरी ज़रूरत लगे, तो मुझे दोबारा सदा दे सकते हैं। यह प्रदर्शनी तीन भागों में बंटी हुई है। पहला, टू थिंक लाइक ए माउंटेन, दूसरा क्लीनिंग, और तीसरा - सर्वाइवल ऐज़ रिवाइवल। इस प्रदर्शनी मैं तीन कलाकारों के काम हैं- हाजरा वहीद, सिमरन गिल, और नेहा चोकसी। यह कलाकार, अपने अलग अलग कामों की सीरीज में, इंसान और प्रकृति के रिशे को गहराई से सोचते हैं। जैसे की, हमारा अपनी धरती, उसमे पाये जाने वाले तत्वों, पदार्थों से क्या रिश्ता है? सूरज, आसमान, पानी, धरती, हमारे जीवन पर कैसे प्रभाव डालते हैं, और क्या हम इनके ज़रिए सोचने, जीने और प्रेम करने का तरीका सीख सकते हैं? फोटोग्राफी, वीडियो, स्कल्पचर्स, और ड्राइंग्स द्वारा बनाये गए इन कामों के ज़रिए कलाकार प्रकृति, राजनीति और अस्तित्व से जुड़ी बातें हमारे सामने लेकर आती हैं, और हमे इस दुनिया में अपने जगह पर पुनर्विचार करने के लिए आमंत्रित करती हैं।
