KNMA through its college visits functions to compliment the respective college curriculum and assists in broadening the minds and perspectives of the students. The Museum reaches out to several colleges across the country in order to connect the college going public with the Modern and Contemporary art scene in India and abroad. The museum hopes to extend the learning beyond the classroom setting, using the guidelines of interdisciplinary learning.

Students are taught various traditional and alternative practices through material and conceptual explorations. Various interactions with practicing artists are arranged to gain exposure beyond the classroom setting. The Art Educators at KNMA design special workshops related to the themes of the curated ongoing shows at the museum. The workshops attempt to push the boundaries of how art is conceptualized; these could also explore new media practices or investigations in the public realm. Students are encouraged to take part in discussions and carry out a discourse with art curators, art associates and other performing artists.

Numerous colleges have visited KNMA, such as National Institute of Design, Delhi College of Art, IIT and others. These visits have generated interesting discussions and exchange of ideas amongst the college students.
