The conversation centered on Subodh Gupta’s spectacular piece Line of Control, where the artist talked about the inhibitions he initially harbored about making this mammoth sized work, the reasons behind its creation, the logistics and expertise involved in the process of its installation and its near impossible acquisition by KNMA. All these things together threw light upon how the artist actually contextualized his work. Gupta talked about his several other important projects that he has carried out in the past, which are installed all around the world, as well as the influences that engendered their creation.
